The first few times I played Yakuza 0 (or the entire franchise for that matter) I only cared about the story and played just to have fun, this time I want to go in depth and get at least 50% completion on every Like a Dragon/Yakuza game.
I've already gotten over 50% on Yakuza 0, but I want to share my experience getting Legend mode for both Kiryu (Dragon of Dojima style) and Majima (Mad Dog of Shimano Style.)
Despite the first one that you can unlock being Dragon of Dojima, I went for Mad Dog first, since I was on a Majima chapter. To obtain these styles for both playable protagonists you have to play their associated sub-stories.
Majima's sub-story/minigame is where you take care of a Cabaret Club. You hire hostesses and try your best to make money whilst putting all the other Cabaret Clubs out of business.
After you beat a certain club, you get one of their hostesses as a Platinum Hostess, and you can then train them by practicing with them and going out on dates, everything is all quite funny and each hostess has their own sub-story and they're all well made.
The gameplay consists of costumers coming in and you selecting the right hostess for them. By selecting the right one, they'll become happier and give you more money, it's simple but quite frenetic and fun.
Sometimes they'll request a specific hostess and if she's already tending to another costumer you have to be quick trying to find a replacement, it's kinda hectic but it's fun.
After you beat all 5 cabaret clubs, you unlock the Mad Dog of Shimano style, which makes Majima fight like a crazy dog, making it very easy to dispatch of large groups of enemies and certain tough bosses, and it lets you make Majima very overpowered with skills that are available to all other fighting styles.
Kiryu's Dragon of Dojima
As for Kiryu, you'll have to play through a real estate sub-story/minigame.
You unlock this sub-story in Chapter 5 after running a squatter out of a property owned by a man named Yamanoi. In this minigame you'll be buying up properties from "Kings", like the Media King, The Electronics King, The Pleasure King and more.

By purchasing properties, upgrading them, and taking good care of them, you'll eventually fight the Finance King which is the mastermind behind all of this and unlock the Dragon of Dojima style, which also has a new skill tree just like Majima's and a crazy good combat style (although I still prefer brawler).
I personally liked the real estate royale sub-story better, it's less grinding and the stories of each one of the kings is really neat. Just like the hostesses from other clubs you beat as Majima, the kings join you as advisors to help run your business.
Overall, I spent around 30-35 hours to unlock both styles and it was really fun and rewarding. Beating tough enemies like Mr. Shakedown as Kiryu is a breeze now, and it's a really good way to farm for money too.
Despite having played this game a number of times, I had never done these minigames to completion, so all of this was new to me and it was pretty cool!
I still have a lot more to unlock, but my Completion List is looking great already.
Seriously, if you've never played Yakuza, give it a shot. It's great.
