Hi splinter warriors,

So a new season has started. It started about 2 days ago and we are well and truly under way. For some time now I've been able to break the 100k barrier of earning glint and it feels super amazing. When the glint system started a few months ago i decided that I was going to use my end of season glint rewards to buy the cards in the glint shop.

The plan was to max out on most if not all of the cards and then I’ll pick up a new strategy. Now I've not been doing that for some time since mu concentration has drifted to earning more sps. With this I’ve concentrated more of my glint of getting energy from glint chests over the past months. It’s has paid of in some occasions but some times I get just merits and weird cards.

My first strategy is almost complete by the way as almost all of my rebellion reward cards are maxed out. Last seasons i made close or more than 150k glint and I am thinking of using it to buy cards. Also I am kind of saving for conclave arcana to be added to the glint shop so I can buy it since I don’t have enough funds to get those cards.

My sps earning from battle is thoroughly underway as I was able to earn around 1800 sps from last seasons. The aim was 2000 but we had lightning issues so I couldn’t play for 2 days and it affected me. The sad part is that it was almost end of season when it happened and the day the light came back happened to be when the season was ending.

So now let’s talk about a recent battle. By the time I make this post the battle would have been 30-40 minutes old so enjoy it fresh from the box. I couldn’t make it into champion last season even though I was very close; just 40 rating from achieving it but then I couldn’t. This also means that I was brought down to diamond III when the season ended.

This particular battle was the one that took me into diamond III, it had a mana of 99 which I loved but the opportunity ruleset was a bit of a trouble for me.

The opportunity ruleset in combination with the reverse speed ruleset is not such of a good idea. I say that cause when that is presented to you, you’ll not be able to use your very very good cards but will be limited since you need to field cards which have low speed. There are situations where you have very good cards with low speed but those cards are not many or at least aren’t many in my catalog.

The last ruleset had to do with stampede which I wasn’t much interested in at this point. My only problem here had to do with the reverse speed and opportunity. Without the reverse speed ruleset I would have used a martyr card which will had added stats to my cards after death but it would also meaning risking more speed so I killed that idea.

Immediately thought of grandmaster rathe summoner. This is a life summoner which adds 1 shield, void armor and amplify to all your cards.

Mu first card was drybone barbarian at level 4, this is a card I wished was at max level cause it has retaliate at max level. I went for disintegrator and then magi of chaos. My fourth position card was jared scar. This card has the piecing ability which makes it super dangerous. I selected doctor blight but I was scared it’ll be an easy target but I went for it anyway.

Last was legionnaire alvar. This is a very good card with good stats but a speed of 2 doesn’t make it ideal for most games.

The game started truly well for me. I saw this cause my opponent might have thought I would ignore the reverse speed ruleset or he thought this was one of those games. He ignored the reverse speed ruleset and brought cards with an average of 3 speed.

My first attack killed his most dangerous card in round 1 and it was fulfilling. My opponents first attack also killed my jared scar which I didn’t think was going to happen but it did.

Round 2 was same for me as I made another kill. My opponent followed suite and it didn’t look like a good one for me at the end of round 2. I thought with that much speed in his line up he was going to make a couple of misses but I was wrong.

Round 3 was same as round 1 and 2 and at this point in round 4 we both had 3 cards remaining. He made no misses and it looked real good for him. Round 4 didn’t turn out to be the same as he didn’t make a kill. I did make a kill and it felt good and things became clear for me.

The battle went on till round 7 where we both had 1 card remaining but then I had the last laugh. This was an amazing battle and you should have a look at it in the link below.
