Lemme tell you something… BOHOL. IS. A. WHOLE. EXPERIENCE. 😭💯
So me and the squad (you know who you are lol 💅) finally did the Bohol tour thingy. It was giving "wanderlust unlocked." We hit up the famous Man-Made Forest 🌳, the iconic Chocolate Hills 🍫, and yes I looked a real python in the eye and survived to tell the tale.
So grab ur snacks, sit back, and lemme take u on a chill scroll-worthy recap of the madness that went down. 💁♀️
🍫 Stop 1: Chocolate Hills — Not Edible But Still Delicious to the Eyes
First off, let’s talk about the Chocolate Hills. If you ever doubted that nature has a sense of humor, these hills are her inside joke. 😏
First of all, there’s like… over 1,000 of them. And they look like giant Hershey's Kisses just chillin' in the middle of Bohol. I was literally squinting like, “Are these real?? Or is this a prank?”
And the view? OMGGGG. Once u climb up to the viewpoint (yes, you will sweat — bring water or perish 💧), it's like BOOM: you're staring at this magical land of choco-mountains. Kinda surreal. Like what even caused these hills? A Minecraft glitch? Alien crop circles? Who knows. Still iconic tho. 👽💅
We stayed up there for a bit, just soaking it all in. Wind on the face, sun burning my forehead (lol I forgot sunscreen 🤡), and me thinking deep thoughts like “what if each hill is hiding a treasure?” 😩💭
🌳 Stop 2: Man-Made Forest — Nature's IG Filter
Okayyy now, lemme just say… this forest? She’s not just man-made, she’s aesthetic-made. 😍✨
As we entered the Bilar–Loboc stretch, the temperature suddenly dropped, and the vibe. Like, no joke, it felt like the trees were whispering “welcome.” The trees are SO TALL — like they were on stilts or smth 😭 and everything looked straight outta a Studio Ghibli movie.
Best part? The moment we stopped in the middle of the road for that classic forest road shot. Like YES, almost got hit by a bus but WORTH IT. 💀
Pro tip: Bring a fan and some lip balm bc it's humid and ur face will betray you halfway through the pics lmao.
🐍 Stop 3: Bohol Python — Bruh This Snake Is Not Here to Play
OKAY. Let’s talk about the python because WHAT. IN. THE. WORLD. 😳
So there's this Bohol Python and Wildlife Park, right? I thought it was gonna be chill — like some lil snakes in glass boxes, nothing too dramatic. But NOPE.
THE MOMENT I SAW THAT BIG SNAKE I WAS LIKE:
💀 “OH HEY NOPE BYE.”
It was HUGE, like it could wrap around 3 adults and still have tail left for a group hug. It wasn’t even moving, just vibing.
But real talk, it was fascinating. They said that python was once one of the longest in captivity in the Philippines. That snake’s like a lowkey celeb. They even had photos of visitors who dared to hold it. Not me tho 😬 sorry not risking my neck for clout today.
🐾 Animal Encounter: From Owls to Unknown Birbs 🦉🐯
Aside from the famous python, the park had a mini zoo full of surprises.
We saw an owl with the most serious face I’ve ever seen — like sir, why so dramatic? Then there was a tiger (YES A TIGER 😳), and I was like “Wait… are we still in Bohol or in a documentary?”
There were also rabbits hopping around like little balls of fluff (one even stared at me like I owed it lunch), and a few horses nearby, just casually munching grass like supermodels on a break.
Oh, and the birds! Some were colorful, some were loud, some were just chillin’ like feathery celebrities. I didn’t know most of their names but hey, they added to the zoo’s ✨wildlife aesthetic✨.
I wasn’t expecting a full-on animal tour, but it totally added spice to our day. From majestic to cute to “uhm, is that safe?” — it was like walking through a surprise level of Animal Crossing…. 😂
🛵 Extra: Roadtrip Shenanigans
Let’s not forget the random stuff that happened in between stops:
• Tita playlist in full blast 🎶 — OPM hits + 2000s ballads = ultimate roadtrip mood
• One friend got dizzy 🤢 coz twisty roads = rollercoaster in real life
• I fell asleep and woke up with drool 😳 but we don’t talk about that
• Kuya driver deserves 5 stars. Swerved potholes like a pro, and gave us trivia while we snacked in silence. Galing ni Kuya. 🙌
🎉 Final Thoughts: Bohol, You Were a Whole Moment
Bohol was literally giving main character energy the whole time. 🌟 Forests that whisper, hills that look like desserts, and a python that could probably star in an action movie. 12/10 would go again — but next time, maybe I’ll hold the snake… or not. 😂
