Winter has arrived early, with its cold and wet.

And yet, I managed to get a few shots, as you will see below.

We are in a winter rainfall area, and as usual, it is accompanied by cold weather. Of course, as usual it doesn't bother me, and I took all of the photos while sitting in our front garden. The weather man reckoned that rain was on its way, and thus far the predictions were 100% correct. I really wouldn't want a job like that, as over here, the wind can change direction at the drop of a hat, to upset everything.
You will also see constant changes in the sky's colors that are in the background of the photos.

At first, I will show you some grey skies. This is a Sacred Ibis.

And here is a silhouette of a little Sunbird.

Here the background color changed, and a flock of birds came over.

I think it is a flock of homing pigeons.

I thought that palm tree's color looked lovely against the dark blue sky.

Finally, the grey color won, and this Ringneck Dove tried to warm itself in the weak glow of the sun.

Our house is situated right below the Milky Way, and on clear nights we sit outside in the back garden counting the satellites that come over from all directions. The highest number of satellites that we could count in one night was 50, and over periods we have also seen the flashes of meteorites. A strange new hobby, I know, but that's just the way we are as we enjoy the full contents of nature.

We try to fully live out each phase of our lives, especially as I am in my golden years and apart from health hiccups, life is good. Yes, there are many bad periods but then again there is always hope. Now this word hope is an anchor in life as it guards against depression and surrender. Someone said, there is always hope in any situation, and we firmly believe that it is the truth. Everything in life has a purpose, and it's up to all of us to find and embrace that purpose.
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
