Hello ASEAN Hive Community, how are you? It's great to finally be back writing in this community. Of course today I want to tell you about the exciting things during Eid al-Adha yesterday even though the moment has passed far away, but hopefully you still want to read it and join the fun. Most of the people where I live are Muslim, every year we always celebrate Eid al-Adha together. Before celebrating we will fast for two days. On the day of the celebration, the first thing we do is pray Ied together, then we do the Riyoyo tradition of bringing Ambeng which contains coconut milk rice and lodho chicken. We all gather and pray together. After we are done we share the food and enjoy it together.

After the first event is over, we usually gather again to slaughter the sacrificial animals. This time, the mosque near my house only slaughtered 3 goats. The men were busy slaughtering and cutting the goats while the women were busy cooking in the kitchen. There were also some women who helped cut and weigh the goat meat. Because we will distribute the meat to the people who live in our village.

While the men were busy with their activities, we ladies were also busy cooking some of the goat meat. We plan to cook goat curry. For us to eat together later. After the distribution is complete, the men are busy cleaning up the place that was used earlier or just sitting and talking together. While waiting for our cooking to finish.

After the cooking was done and served we ate together. This is how Eid al-Adha is celebrated where I live. We always work together in doing many things, helping each other and creating good harmony with one another. All the hard work becomes easy because we do it together. We all enjoyed the meal and had fun. A celebration that we all look forward to every year. Thank you for reading to the end. See you in other content.
