So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on the third topic for this week, which is “IS REINCARNATION POSSIBLE?”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “APOLOGY VIDEOS”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about their thoughts on apology videos and the rationale behind them. In a world where everyone has free access to the internet, it can be easy for people to get involved in one scandal or the other. And for many of them, making apology videos has seemingly been seen as a way to correct errors.
We got to see what members thought about it. Some didn’t accept the idea at all, apology videos would never be enough because it doesn’t prove that the person making the video is really sorry for what they’ve done. Others, however, saw it as a significant step on the path to forgiveness. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w163e2 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there, it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. This author told us that he didn’t believe many apology videos because most of the time, the creators were basically acting out a script. While everyone deserves a chance to clear their name, there has to be genuine effort in it. Sadly, many people only do it, not because they are asking for forgiveness, but simply because they want to protect their brands.

For this author, she told us that while some creators make genuine apology videos, many more out there are not true. Trying to know if the creator is honest or not is difficult, and one may only know for sure by their subsequent words and actions after the apology has been issued. She suggests that personal apologies are better than making video apologies. That’s what’s more important.

For this author, he says that almost everything seen on the internet is mostly preplanned or scripted. There is no way to tell just how genuine the creators really are and there are many who simply use this as a tool to gain popularity or simply save their brand from getting blacklisted. He finds it hard to trust such people.
