The voice on our doorstep was loud, almost a yelling but on a rather cheerful note. Right after the initial surprise, we recognised the voice of a friend that was coming with her arms full of goodies!

When you live in a small town, nature is very close by and even when you don't have the time to go foraging yourself, a friend might do. And this particular friend not only went for a day in the countryside but she also remembered that we wanted chamomile and lavender. And she picked a whole bunch of them, just for us.

What a wonderful gift!

Even before @traisto sort them out and make small bouquets, I had already grabbed my camera and taken the first pictures. I am sure that it would have been better if we were actually in a meadow, gathering herbs and taken pictures ourselves but even that way, we experienced some of the joy of foraging and definitely a lot of aroma!

And when the chamomile bouquets were comfortably hanged on an old mannequin doll, I had a vertical carpet of nature at my disposal, to photograph as I wish.

Not the most usual nature shots but I liked the paradox of having them hanging upside down, indoors and lit from a window. Not to mention that their scent is much stronger inside. They are now hanging next to me, as I write those lines and I feel like I am having a chamomile tea that never ends :)

The lavender bouquets, although equally beautiful, took much less of my attention and time but I am pretty happy with those last three pictures as well! I hope you like them too.

Happy May to everybody!
