Six months of this adventure called 2025 have officially passed. What have you done? What have we done?

The truth is that it has been a whirlwind of emotions that I am still processing, but we are still fighting, and that is why I am here to tell you how this past month went for me. Honestly, we are still like “Rocky the boxer,” taking hits in the ring, but knowing that, just like in the movies, the endings are happy ones 😊.

Oficialmente ya transcurrieron seis meses de esta aventura llamada 2025 ¿Qué han hecho? ¿Qué hemos hecho?
La verdad que ha sido un cúmulo de emociones que no proceso aún, pero que seguimos en pie de lucha y por eso vengo a contarles como me fue este mes que acaba de culminar y honestamente, seguimos como "el boxeador Rocky" llevando golpes en el ring, pero sabiendo que así como las películas, los finales son felices 😊.

I am a university professor!

Well, not quite official yet, because I still have some administrative procedures to complete, but with this new job and professional opportunity, I feel wonderful because I know it is a challenge that will bring me many benefits.

In my country, being a university professor is more of a professional honor than a financial one; it is like having a doctor in the family, since these achievements are not attained by many.

You could say, “nobody wants to be a teacher because they are so poorly paid,” but for those of us who pursue this goal, it is more than just a salary or wage; it is about having status and having your knowledge valued on a larger scale.

Furthermore, it is not just any university; I am talking about the university where I studied and graduated, which makes this achievement even more satisfying.

Since 2016, I had this task pending, and now, almost 10 years later, I can be in these classrooms, where I will later recount the entire process that takes place there 💯🌟.

¡Soy profesora universitaria! Bueno, ni tan oficial, porque aún me faltan unos trámites administrativos, pero les doy la primicia, ya que con esta nueva oportunidad laboral y profesional, me he sentido de maravilla porque sé que es un reto que me traerá muchos beneficios.
En mi país, ser profesora universitaria es un honor más que económico, profesional; es como el equivalente a tener un médico en la familia, ya que estos logros no son alcanzados por muchos.
Podrían decir "es que nadie quiere ser profesor tan mal pagados", pues, los que perseguimos esa meta es más que un sueldo o salario, es tener un status y que tú conocimiento sea valorado a escalas mayores.

Además, no es cualquier universidad, estoy hablando de la universidad donde cursé mi carrera y me gradué, lo que hace que sea más satisfactorio este logro.
Desde el 2016, tenía esa tarea pendiente y ahora, casi 10 años después, puedo estar en estas aulas que después iré contando mejor, todo el proceso que se vive allí 💯🌟.

June was my mother's birthday, so it was a good reason to celebrate and go shopping. She's not the kind of person who is satisfied with just love, a letter, or an iron, and since she deserves many nice things, I took her to a store that we really like for gifts, plus they offer credit. So, I saved up for a while and, with cash in hand, we went shopping.

She decided she wanted a wallet, and I took the opportunity to give her a smaller bag for everyday use. I also gave her the iron 😆, but we had been waiting to buy it for a long time until it was available.

She was very happy, and although she has been ill, we decided to take a break from doctors, medicine, and tests and enjoy her special day for a moment.

For my part, I took the opportunity to buy some shirts to update my wardrobe, which I'll show you later because this community is for something else 😉. But this shirt in the photo is among my new outfits 😍:

¡COMPRAS! En junio fue el cumplevida de mi madre, por lo que fue un buen motivo para celebrar y comprar. Ella no es la típica persona que se conforma con amor, una carta o una plancha, y como merece muchas cosas bonitas, la llevé a una tienda que por excelencia nos gusta para hacer regalos, además de que venden con crédito. En este sentido, reuní durante un buen tiempo y con dinero en mano, salimos a comprar.

Decidió que quería una cartera y yo aproveché y le regalé un bolso más pequeño para el diario. Además, si le regalé la plancha 😆, pero es que desde hace tiempo estábamos esperando comprarla hasta que se dio.
Ella estuvo muy feliz y aunque ha estado enferma, decidimos dar una pausa a médicos, medicina, exámenes y disfrutar por un momento de su día especial.
Yo por mi parte aproveché de comprar algunas camisas para renovar mi closet, que después les mostraré porque esta comunidad es para otra cosa 😉. Pero esta franela de la foto, está entre mis nuevos outfits 😍:

Back to school

As work never stops, after a “medicinal vacation” I took with my mother, I had to catch up on work that, as a teacher, only I can do.

What I take away from these moments is the satisfaction of teaching, learning, and sharing with wonderful people who still believe in this country and want to continue learning with us.

De vuelta a clases
Como el trabajo no para, después de unas "vacaciones medicinales" que tuve con mi madre, he tenido que sacar el trabajo atrasado, que como profesora, solo puedo hacerlo yo.
Lo que me llevo de estos momentos, es la satisfacción de enseñar, aprender y compartir con personas maravillosas que todavía apuestan en este país y quieren seguir formandose con nosotros.

I changed my look. I got a radical haircut to give it life, body, volume, hydration, everything 🤣.

My gray hair is already noticeable, and my long hair was crying out for something MORE DRASTIC in terms of care, so with the help of my friend Milagros, who teaches hairdressing at INCES (the institution where I work), I got down to work, removing all the damaged hair that was preventing it from looking healthy.

While I was there, I started saying “cut more,” “a little more,” “keep cutting,” until it reached my shoulders and there was no turning back.

Many people have liked it, saying that I look younger and am on par with Carolina Herrera, leaving my gray hair natural. Still, I like my long hair, and it grows faster than I think, and this time in a healthier and more cared-for way (I'll tell you about that in another post 🤣). How did it turn out?

Me cambié el look. Me hice un corte de cabello radical para darle vida, cuerpo, volumen, hidratación, todo junto 🤣.
Mis canas ya son notorias, mi cabello largo ya pedía algo MAS COONTUNDENTE para su cuidado, así que de la mano de mi aiga Milagros, quien dicta la formación de peluquería en el INCES (institución donde trabajo), me puso manos a la obra, eliminando todo cabello dañado y que no permitia que se viera sano.

Estando allí comencé "corta más", "un poco más", "sigue cortando", hasta que llegó a mis hombros y no hubo vuelta atrás.
A muchos ha gustado, dice que me veo más joven y estoy a la par de Carolina Herrera, dejando as canas al natural. Igual, me gusta mi cabello largo y ese crece más rápido de lo que pienso y esta vez de forma más sana y cuidada (eso también se los cuento en otra publicación 🤣) ¿Cómo me quedó?:

And although it hasn't all been celebration, because we are still trying to cure my mother's illnesses, I am convinced that EVERYTHING WORKS OUT FOR THE BEST, so the time has come to be cautious, prudent, patient, and wait for everything to improve in our journey, not only for me but for those around me.
