Hello dear friends of Holozing, I hope you are all doing well. Today I decided to make the ground-type dragon known as Terrarion when he was just a baby. We've always thought that dragons belong to the reptile species, and as we all know, they are born after hatching from an egg. So I decided to make this scene, where baby Terrarion sees sunlight for the first time after coming out of his little shell, in an environment that lives up to his name. I hope you like it!
Hola queridos amigos de Holozing, espero que se encuentren muy bien, hoy se me ocurrió hacer al dragón tipo tierra conocido como Terrarion cuando era apenas un bebé, siempre hemos tenido la idea de que los dragones pertenecen a la especie de los reptiles y como todos sabemos ellos nacen luego de eclosionar un huevo. Así que se me ocurrió hacer esta escena, donde el bebé Terrarion ve por primera vez la luz del sol luego de salir de su pequeño cascarón en un ambiente que hace honor a su nombre, espero les guste!

I started by making a small sketch of our beloved dragon, which I made small so that his face would look like a very cute baby's. Then I created the whole atmosphere I had in mind, focusing on his eyes, which I made large and very cute, painting them with various colors to give them a nice shine.
Comencé haciendo un pequeño boceto de nuestro querido dragón, el cual lo hice en pequeñas dimensiones para que su rostro pareciera el de un bebé muy tierno. Así que hice todo el ambiente que había pensado, enfocándome bien en sus ojos, los cuales hice grandes y muy tiernos, pintándolos con variados colores para darles un buen brillo.

Our friend Terrarion is reddish in color, so to achieve a more similar tone I'm using layers of different colors, starting with orange, which I use as a base because in contrast with illuminated parts and reflections that part will look lighter, while in the rest I will use darker colors.
Nuestro amigo Terrarion es de color rojizo, así que para llegar a un tono más parecido voy utilizando capas de colores diferentes, empezando por el color naranja, el cual uso como base porque en el contraste con partes iluminadas y reflejos se vera esa parte como más clara, mientras en el retso utilizaré colores más oscuros.

I then continued with the same technique and color scheme throughout the rest of the visible body. I tried to focus a lot on contrast, because even though the style is animated, I wanted the color to look very realistic.
Seguidamente seguí con la misma técnica y gama de colores por todo el resto del cuerpo visible. Trate de enfocarme mucho en el contraste y es que a pesar de que el estilo es animado, quería que el color me quedara muy realista.

Then I began to paint the environment that surrounds him, mainly the enormous egg from which he came, which was already a shell that our friend Terrarion broke to discover the world around him, as well as a landscape surrounded by arid mountains and enormous rocks.
Luego comencé a pinatr el ambiente que le rodea, principalmente el enorme huevo de donde salió, el cual ya era un cascarón que nuestro amigo Terrarion rompió para conocer el mundo que le rodea, así también un paisaje rodeado de áridas montañas y enormes rocas.

Next, I took a soft brush and used it to blend and blend all the colors, especially on our friend, the baby earth dragon. Then I continued with the entire setting, finally outlining the entire illustration with a fine-tipped marker.
Después tomé un pincel suave y lo usé para difuminar y emzclar todos los colores utilizandos, especialmente en nuestro amigo dragón de tierra que apenas es un bebé. Luego seguí con toda la ambientación, por último con un marcador de punta fina estuve delineando toda la ilustración.

What do you think of the result? I think it looks very tender, yet very challenging, since as soon as he's born, he has a look that makes him want to see the world around him. Qué opinan del resultado? creo que se ve muy tierno, a la vez muy desafiante ya que apenas nacer tiene una mirada de que quiere conocer todo el mundo que le rodea. Me gustó mucho el resultado, especialmente los colores que le dan un tono muy llamativo. Esto ha sido mi aporte por ahora, espero haya sido de su agrado, no olviden comentar que les ha parecido, me despido hasta pronto, que vuelva con una nueva idea.. Saludos!
