Ingredients

🥬 2 bags (12oz each) of green beans
🍄 1 tray (8oz) of mushrooms, sliced
🧅 1 medium-sized onion, chopped
🧄 2 cloves of garlic, minced
🌾 1/4 cup of flour
🧀 1/2 block (4oz) of cream cheese
🧀 1 cup of mozzarella cheese
🍗 1 cup of chicken broth
🥛 1 cup of milk
🐔 1 tablespoon of chicken bouillon
🧂 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, or to taste
🧅 French's crispy fried onions, for topping
🧈 1/2 stick of butter
🧴 Cooking spray


Instructions

1- Prepare the Green Beans:

  • If using fresh green beans, boil them for 8 to 10 minutes until they are tender. If using frozen, ensure they are steamed and ready to use. Set aside.

2- Make the Creamy Base:

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic; sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

3- Cook the Mushrooms:

  • Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until they are tender.

4- Thicken the Sauce:

  • Sprinkle the flour over the cooked vegetables, stirring continuously to incorporate and remove any raw flour flavor.

5- Add Liquids and Cheese:

  • Gradually pour in the chicken broth and milk, continually stirring to avoid any lumps. Once the mixture begins to thicken, add the cream cheese and stir until fully dissolved. Follow with mozzarella cheese, ensuring it melts into the sauce for a creamy consistency.

6- Season the Mixture:

  • Season with chicken bouillon and black pepper to taste. Stir in the green beans until they are well-coated with the creamy sauce.
