Ingredients

For the Chicken:

For the Pita Wraps:

For the Tzatziki Sauce:

Instructions

1- Marinate the Chicken:

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt, paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, thyme, oregano, and lemon juice.
  • Allow the chicken to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours, or overnight for best results.

2- Cook the Chicken:

  • Heat a pan over medium to high heat.
  • Add olive oil and unsalted butter. Once the butter has melted, add the marinated chicken breasts.
  • Cook each side for about 5-6 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165ยฐF (75ยฐC).

3- Rest and Slice the Chicken:

  • Remove the chicken from the pan and let it rest for 5 minutes. This ensures the juices redistribute evenly.
  • Once rested, slice the chicken into strips.

4- Prepare the Tzatziki Sauce:

  • Grate the English cucumber into a towel and squeeze out any excess moisture.
  • In a bowl, combine the cucumber, chopped dill, minced garlic, lemon juice, Greek yogurt, and salt.
  • Mix well until the ingredients are thoroughly combined.

5- Assemble the Pita Wraps:

  • Lightly toast the pita bread on both sides using a small amount of avocado oil.
  • Spread a generous layer of tzatziki sauce on the pita.
  • Add shredded lettuce, sliced chicken, tomatoes, and red onions.
