I have been enjoying Sorare.com these past years mainly playing in the Rare competitions. Each Week, I'm making an update post on what's happening in the ecosystem and how I'm doing personally.
The last week of the season pretty much highlights the main issue Sorare has been facing as I won 3 'worthess' Tier 5 Reward cards and some essence after having submitted 25 lineups. The 'gameplay' of submitting teams feels like obligated work, almost no added excitement is given to watching the matches as there are so many players that have an influence on the outcomes while the rewards are only really worth something for the few highest ranked players.
Playoffs Rare Results
I closely missed out on a 15$ cash reward on the in-season rare lineup which ended 22nd out of 345 entries with 371 points and instead just earned 2 Rare essenece which is 1/10th of a Tier 5+ card.

No challenger this week but I did manage to get a final lineup in for the last match in Belgium which is played today. With 4239 entries though I doubt I will get anything.

2 of my challenger lineups ened with 375 a 342 points both winning a Tier 5 card.
I didn't have a single lineup that scored over 300 points last week in Limited.

I can once more count on my Antwerp stack as they play a match tonight but I had to enter in in the All-Star competition.
Player Transfers & Reward Card
I got 3 players including one from the Belgian League who all don't play and are worth next to nothing. I might look to sell some of the cards that have active leagues in the summer and see what I still get for them while preparing for the 2025-2026 season.
It's fairly easy to track your personal earnings on the Sobase.Football website. We seem to be at a point again where the rewards don't fully compensate for the drop in card values over time as more get printed and dumped on the market.
I am no longer putting outside funds into Sorare at this point and will track my total account value from here on out weekly. It's been pretty much a race to the bottom as sorare isn't able to come up with dynamics where card prices hold their value.

ConclusionThe enjoyment that I'm getting from Sorare surely has gone down a lot as they fail to fix some of the core issues. If I win something or manage to break even I'm already a happy player. Given the continued inflation, this is a game and not an investment.
