It was a very successful spendhbd outreach with @iquo even though people are very busy some listened to what we had to say
How it started.
Marketing alone is always boring, most of the time, some people don't take me seriously because they see just me, but I always muster up the courage to move alone, but today was very different because I had someone with me.
I reached out to @Iquo on WhatsApp and related to her my plan of going to @bokku-mart for spendhbd outreach today. I asked if she would love to join me, and she accepted, we agreed to meet by 4pm because Bokku, as most people love shopping in the evening time.
Bokku Mart is a very big mart, and their products are not quite expensive, this attracts so many customers, the workers are very busy and don't have time to tell the customers about spending, so the best way to get customers to hear about spendhbd and hive is by going for an outreach there from time to time.
I picked up my flyers and met with @iquo at our agreed spot, when we got to Bokku, just a few people were shopping, so we decided to wait for a while, after an hour, shoppers started coming, and we started speaking to them about the spendhbd project, and hive in general.
Most of them were just returning from work they were so exhausted, they don't have much time to discuss or sign up, some who were interested dropped their contact and we agreed to discuss more on WhatsApp, some were not receptive at all maybe because they thought we wanted to extort from them which is what we see every day around us.
Onboarding @tobscentation
@tobscentation was among the people we spoke to, she was tired and said she didn't have much time to spend, I convinced her that just 15 minutes of her time would be enough, I quickly told her to download hive-keychain from her Play Store, as she was doing that, I quickly logged in to @distriator, went to the signup section, and asked her to input a username of her choice.
She picked the username of her choice, and I quickly onboarded, so immediately after she was done downloading the key chain, I showed her how to log in and add the necessary keys.
I funded her account, and she made a payment of 5 hbd and got a discount of 1 hbd, she was surprised, she wanted to know if it was real money we were talking about, so I showed her how to transfer her funds while I gave her an equivalent in our local currency.
She was very happy and we took some pictures with her.
She left, we tried other people, and some had flat batteries because they had been away from home since morning, we got their contact to chat with them later.
It was really fun, it was late so I quickly shopped for beans and pasta which I need for tomorrow.
Conclusively, it was a very good evening for spendhbd outreach, and the positive response we got moved us to resolve that we will be going to Bokku-mart for spendhbd marketing every Wednesday evening. Hopefully, we will get like-minded who are willing to join our community.
