My Rentals Are Doing Great... Again!

Writing about this topic just a few hours before the end of a Season probably gives a slightly too optimistic view, but when I saw the value of my rentals soar today—thanks also to some of them extending beyond the remaining duration of the current Season—I couldn’t help but smile and think that things really do seem to be going well… finally!

I hope this optimism doesn’t turn out to be a double-edged sword, and I’m fully aware that my results are small compared to those of many other players: here on Hive, I often compare myself with other users who own Splinterlands assets, and almost always I find out that I own the least—especially when it comes to SPS... I put in a lot of effort, yet I’m still trailing behind 😅

It’s also true, though, that I dedicate very little time to Splinterlands, since I don’t play—neither manually nor with a bot—but, as I’ve said many times by now, I simply rent out all my assets—cards and SPS.

Another factor to consider is that everything I earn on Hive stays on Hive: so what I own in Splinterlands has, for a long time now, been only the result of constantly reinvesting what I earn from Splinterlands itself.

Given these two factors, perhaps it’s not surprising that my growth is rather slow, and the gap between me and other players tends to widen rather than shrink...

... although that doesn’t mean things can’t change!

The fact that my rentals are doing so well, for example, is a huge step forward: in the past, card rentals were highly profitable, but unfortunately I owned very few cards at that time... today, however, the situation has improved a bit, and my collection—worth about $150—has much more potential.

A 28.99% ROI is definitely more appealing, as it potentially translates into dozens and dozens of dollars earned every year... practically doing nothing!

And these funds could help me grow much, much faster, allowing me to try—maybe—to close the gap that separates me from many other players: not the biggest ones, of course, but at least the smaller ones like me, who over the years have built solid collections.

Part of my hopes also lie in the imminent rotation of the Chaos Legion set out of the Modern format: I’ve taken quite a risk by betting almost everything on this event, through which I hope to take another leap forward—both in terms of the value of my collection and the income I’m able to generate.

Since I started playing and investing in Splinterlands, I’ve been dreaming of the day when I can buy cards, packs, and SPS more freely, participating in events and those parts of the game I’ve had to ignore until now.

It's a distant dream, almost impossible to achieve... but on the other hand it once seemed impossible to get to 15,000 HP 😅

Splinterlands has played a fundamental role in the growth of my account, and it’s my goal to continue supporting it—doing better and better and, over time, becoming an investor worthy of the name.

I Miei Noleggi Vanno Alla Grande... di Nuovo!

Scrivere di quest'argomento a poche ore dalla fine di una Stagione probabilmente dà una visione un po' troppo ottimistica dell'argomento, ma quando oggi ho visto impennarsi il valore dei miei noleggi, anche grazie ad alcuni che si protrarranno per periodi superiori alla durata residua della Stagione corrente, non ho potuto fare a meno di sorridere e pensare che le cose sembrano davvero star andando per il meglio... finalmente!

Spero che questo mio ottimismo non si riveli un'arma a doppio taglio e sono comunque consapevole che i miei risultati sono piccoli in confronto a quelli di tantissimi altri giocatori: qui su Hive mi confronto spesso con altri utenti che possiedono assets di Splinterlands e, quasi sempre, scopro di essere quello che ne possiede meno, soprattutto quando si parla di SPS... mi impegno tanto eppure sono ancora il fanalino di coda 😅

E' anche vero, però, che dedico davvero poco tempo a Splinterlands, perchè non gioco, nè manualmente nè con un bot, ma mi limito, come ormai ho detto tante volte, a noleggiare tutti i miei assets - carte e SPS.

Inoltre c'è da considerare che tutto ciò che guadagno su Hive resta su Hive: quel che possiedo su Splinterlands è ormai da tempo il frutto del solo costante reinvestimento di ciò che guadagno su Splinterlands stesso.

Considerati questi due fattori forse non è sorprendente scoprire che cresco con una certa lentezza e la distanza con gli altri giocatori, invece che diminuire, tende a crescere...

... anche se non è detto che le cose non possano cambiare!

Il fatto che i miei noleggi stiano andando così bene è ad esempio un grande passo in avanti: un tempo il noleggio delle carte rendeva davvero tanto, io purtroppo all'epoca ne possedevo davvero poche... oggi invece la situazione è un po' migliorata e la mia collezione, dal valore di circa 150 dollari, ha molto più potenziale.

Un ROI del 28,99% è infatti molto più allettante, perchè corrisponde, potenzialmente, a decine e decine di dollari guadagnati ogni anno... senza fare praticamente nulla!

E questi fondi potrebbero aiutarmi a crescere molto, molto più velocemente, consentendomi di provare - forse - a colmare la differenza che mi separa da tanti altri giocatori: non quelli più grandi, ovviamente, ma almeno quelli piccoli come me, che hanno costruito negli anni solide collezioni.

Parte delle mie speranze sono inoltre riposte nell'imminente rotazione del set Chaos Legion fuori dal formato Modern: mi sono assunto un bel rischio puntando quasi tutto su questo evento, grazie al quale spero di fare un altro balzo in avanti, sia in termini di valore della mia collezione, che dal punto di vista della rendita che riesco a generare.

Da quando ho iniziato a giocare, ed investire, su Splinterland sogno infatti, un giorno, di poter acquistare carte, pacchetti ed SPS con maggior libertà, partecipando agli eventi e a quelle parti del gioco che ad oggi ho dovuto ignorare.

E' un sogno lontano, quasi impossibile da raggiungere... ma d'altra parte un tempo mi sembrava impossibile arrivare ad avere 15.000 HP 😅

Splinterlands ha avuto un ruolo fondamentale nella crescita del mio account ed è mio obiettivo continuare a supportarlo, cercando di fare sempre meglio e diventare, con il tempo, un investitore degno di tale nome.
