¡Hola amigos! Hoy me tocó acompañar a mi esposo a una de las asesorías para su tesis de postgrado.
Él está terminando sus estudios superiores en gerencia de finanzas, una decisión que tomamos hace unos años y que ha sido de las mejores en nuestro camino y crecimiento como familia y profesionales. Hablo en plural, porque aunque él sea quien está recibiendo la información, yo he estado en cada paso de esta aventura con él.
Hello friends! Today it was my turn to accompany my husband to one of his graduate thesis advisories.
He is finishing his higher studies in finance management, a decision we made a few years ago and that has been one of the best in our path and growth as a family and professionals. I speak in plural, because although he is the one who is receiving the information, I have been in every step of this adventure with him.
Una vez que mi esposo finalizó sus estudios de pregrado como ingeniero en petróleo y comenzó su camino como profesional. Por diversas razones terminó consolidándose en el área de refrigeración y climatización, teniendo su propio negocio. Allí nos tocó a los dos aprender sobre lo que significa todo el manejo de un negocio particular y los miles de detalles que van de la mano con esa tarea para que cada día pudiera ser más sólido.
Once my husband finished his undergraduate studies as a petroleum engineer and began his journey as a professional. For various reasons ended up consolidating in the area of refrigeration and air conditioning, having its own business. There we both had to learn about what it means all the management of a particular business and the thousands of details that go hand in hand with that task so that every day could be more solid.
Buscando más información sobre cómo poder gerenciar de mejor manera el negocio nos llegó la noticia sobre la apertura de una nueva cohorte para hacer una especialización en gerencia financiera con la universidad de oriente qué es el Alma Mater de mi esposo, ya que allí también curso sus estudios de pregrado. Hicimos todos los trámites necesarios para consolidar su inscripción y hoy, luego de dos años, ya estamos en las asesorías para próximamente hacer la presentación de su tesis para optar al título como especialista en el área.
Looking for more information on how to better manage the business, we got the news about the opening of a new cohort to do a specialization in financial management with the Universidad de Oriente, which is my husband's Alma Mater, since he also studied there as an undergraduate. We made all the necessary arrangements to consolidate his enrollment and today, after two years, we are already in counseling to soon make the presentation of his thesis to opt for the title as a specialist in the area.
Esta decisión más que un simple logro académico nos ha dejado un crecimiento exponencial en el negocio que se ve reflejado en el día a día de la faena laboral de mi esposo, ya que cada una de las cosas que él ha ido aprendiendo con cada materia que iba cursando la iba aplicando inmediatamente a su trabajo. Eso hacía que se consolidaran muchas cosas, incluyendo su rendimiento, pues no estaba estudiando por competir con nadie, sino por alcanzar de manera mucho más sencilla sus logros como profesional, hacer crecer más sólidamente el negocio y tener beneficios para nosotros como familia.
This decision more than a simple academic achievement has left us an exponential growth in the business that is reflected in the day to day work of my husband, since each of the things he has been learning with each subject he was taking was immediately applied to his work. This made him consolidate many things, including his performance, since he was not studying to compete with anyone, but to achieve in a much easier way his achievements as a professional, to make the business grow more solidly and to have benefits for us as a family.
Estudiar, para mí, es una de las mejores herramientas que puede tener una persona para aprender a defenderse por sí mismo en la vida, siempre y cuando lo hagas pensando en tu beneficio propio y no por competir con otros. Quienes solo estudian para acumular notas o engavetar títulos no es mucho lo que realmente consiguen, pues no disfrutan de sus méritos, ni del proceso tanto como el que si lo hace pensando en los beneficios particulares que esta herramienta puede dejar en su vida, sin importar la posición académica que esté ocupando. Al final el crecimiento no lo define una nota sino tus propios objetivos e ir alcanzándolos, no ajuro tienes que tener un título de 5 años para ser alguien en la vida, pero si es verdad que estudiar, bajo la premisa qué sea (un curso, un técnico, una carrera, etc) te facilita muchas vías en lo que sea que te quieras dedicar.
Studying, for me, is one of the best tools a person can have to learn to defend himself in life, as long as you do it thinking about your own benefit and not to compete with others. Those who only study to accumulate grades or to get titles is not much what they really get, because they do not enjoy their merits, or the process as much as those who do it thinking about the particular benefits that this tool can leave in your life, regardless of the academic position you are occupying. In the end, growth is not defined by a grade but by your own goals and achieving them, you do not necessarily have to have a 5-year degree to be someone in life, but it is true that studying, under whatever premise (a course, a technician, a career, etc.) provides you with many ways in whatever you want to dedicate yourself to.
Como les comenté, mi esposo está haciendo su estudio en la UDO Monagas, así que las asesorías son en la sede de postgrado de esta universidad. En esta misma sede también se suelen realizar los trámites de admisión de pregrado y trámites administrativos. Allí estuvimos un rato esperando que su tutora se desocupara y nos pudiera atender, una vez lo hizo mi esposo recibió toda las correcciones necesarias del capítulo que revisaron y nos fuimos.
As I told you, my husband is doing his studies at UDO Monagas, so the counseling is at the graduate school of this university. This is also where the undergraduate admission and administrative procedures are usually carried out. We were there for a while waiting for his tutor to get out of her office and to be able to attend to us, once she did, my husband received all the necessary corrections to the chapter they reviewed and we left.
Ahora le queda aplicar todas estas correcciones y próximamente Dios mediante nos deben estar dando fecha para presentar esta tesis que significa la culminación de una maravillosa etapa en la vida de mi esposo y la mía.
