This is my entry for the daily #monomad challenge
On today's monomad challenge I wanted to share some photos of baby praying mantis. Praying mantis is a very familiar name for this species of grasshopper in the Mantidae family. The name praying mantis itself is probably due to the position of the mantis' legs which are folded in front, resembling a person praying. Apart from that, this grasshopper also preys on other types of insects. Its front legs, although they look like they are praying, actually have an extraordinary function in gripping its prey.
